Plan Your Outfits

Begin with the most difficult person to dress. Plan all other outfits around that person, remembering to coordinate colours and patterns as if you were pulling ONE outfit together. Consider the colours in your home when you're planning your palette. Your portraits will ultimately hang in your home and need to fit cohesively, reflecting the personality and style of your family.

When it comes to newborn and first birthday cake smash outfits, Don't worry I have that covered, unless of course you prefer to use your own.

Get Plenty of Rest

Get to bed early and get a good nights sleep, if you can. Happy children + Rested parents = beautiful portraits.

Make Sure You Eat

Fill the bellies of all session participants before your session. This is especially true for younger children and DADS! Of course if you've booked a cake smash session, make sure you save some room for cake!

Don't Forget Your Props

Bring along any small, meaningful items you'd like to incorporate into your session. We have plenty of props in the studio to use too.
